Bio: 1997 Graduated from Columbus State University, Columbus Georgia - Bachelor of Science. 1980 Graduated from Mississippi College School of Law JD (ABA Accredited). 1980 passed Georgia Bar and admitted to practice in Georgia. Admitted to practice in all state and superior courts in Georgia; Georgia Court of Appeals; Supreme Court of Georgia; United States District Courts. 1980-1987 Private practice. 1987-1992 Part time City Court Solicitor and City Attorney for Mountain Park, Georgia; maintained private practice. 1992-1994 Assistant District Attorney for Enotah Judicial Circuit. Handled assigned felony and misdemeanor prosecutions in Lumpkin, White, Union and Towns Counties. 1994-2016 Chief Assistant District Attorney for Toombs Judicial Circuit. Assigned as primary prosecutor for four (4) of the six (6) counties of the Toombs Circuit: McDuffie, Lincoln, Glascock and Taliaferro Counties. Assigned by the District Attorney to try jury trials in all six (6) counties on an as needed / case by case basis. In addition to criminal prosecutions, handled child support litigation for the Office of Child Support Recovery in the Toombs Circuit. Handled all manner of criminal prosecutions from warrant status to post conviction status. Extensive jury trial and bench trial experience from the most serious felony offences down to misdemeanor offenses including DUI and speeding cases. Assigned as lead counsel on 10 murder cases in McDuffie County; second chair on virtually every murder case in McDuffie County since 1994. Completed capital litigation courses offered by the Prosecuting Attorney's Counsel of Georgia. Actively participated in the prosecution of the only two death penalty cases arising in the Toombs Circuit since 1994. Circuit. Provided in-service training for POST credit to law enforcement agencies across the Toombs 1996-2016-Faculty Instructor and faculty team leader for (week long) basic litigation course held annually in Forsyth, Georgia.
